- Primary sources first. Rates and thresholds come from government publications. Each calculator page lists its sources and last-updated date.
- Change log. Every rate update is recorded in the tax updates log.
- Plain English. We explain what a figure means for your paycheck, without jargon where we can avoid it.
- Corrections. When readers report an error we check it against the source and fix it, usually within two working days.
- Independence. Advertising and any affiliate partnerships never change how a calculator works or what it shows.
